Simon Fowler is a North Wales based professional photographer, who started photographing weddings and portraits on film, after studying photography in Cheshire. After switching to digital technology in 2004, he was able to expand the service he gave his clients without pushing the costs up to London prices.

Simon photographs weddings, civil partnerships, portraits and portfolios (both studio and location based), commercial shoots and events, and makes sure he fully understands what it is that his clients want- whether it is a full days wedding, or corporate portraits where the subject may have just 10 minutes in a busy schedule to pose on location in their office. Being the father of two boys, he also understands how difficult it is to photograph children- young and old. In fact, when photographing babies he times the shoot to take into account feeding and sleep times- nobody wants a grumpy baby!

Simon is passionate about the service he gives his clients, and feels it's important to network with other like minded professional photographers where he can share ideas and keep up with the latest fashions and trends. He also attends several events each year run by the UK's top wedding and portrait photographers as it's his belief that training and learning never stops.

In common with most other professional photographers, Simon believes that it's important that he has insurance in place in the unlikely event that he causes an accident or injury to a member of the public. Some locations may also insist that professional photographers provide a copy of their insurance certificate before they are allowed to photograph there.

Not everyone will take their photography as seriously as Simon, and some will keep costs down by using cheap equipment which is not up to the job, or not bothering to learn how to use the equipment they have properly. Some will not bother to get any professional training, and some will not bother with insurance. Some (and this bit really winds Simon up) will also compromise on the quality of the finished product.

Simon only provides fully edited images. Simon's albums are sourced from quality suppliers whose products do your wonderful images justice. Simon's prints come from a lab which is calibrated to his computer, so he knows that what he sees is what he gets. He will not use a supermarket lab to get your prints- they are okay for snaps, but not for quality prints that he supplies. After all, if it's your wedding day, you only have one chance to get it right.

Despite all this, Simon strives to give value for money. And whilst he doesn't pretend to try and match the prices of some who don't care as much as he does, he does offer a professional service and price that's competitive.
